The village of Audlem with its flight of 15 locks on the Shropshire Union Canal is a popular stopping point for boaters, walkers and other visitors. The Pub, the Mill and the signature crane have become an almost iconic canalside setting. Yet the canal was almost turned into a railway, the Pub was a warehouse until the 1970’s, the crane spent its working life in a railway goods yard and the Mill is a pioneering & popular canal shop!
