Ellesmere Port

As with most of my work this was taken directly from a drawing (see thumbnails). It is an unusual reduction linocut as it is printed dark to light. The first colour was the darkest grey, almost black. Every subsequent colour was the same transparent white. As each transparent white was printed the first layer of dark grey became paler and paler. In the end, to me it had the appearance of an etching, rather than a linocut. As such this is a varied edition.
