Leaving Audlem

This linocut comes directly from a more colourful version of the same theme. I was interested in seeing if I could replicate that very colourful print in a single colour. It is intriguing to see if you can create light, shade and form using only black. The boatman in shadow, leaving Audlem is my friend Paul Higson.
