The Fall

This multi-block reduction linocut concerns the well-known myth of Icarus. Icarus and his father Daedalus are imprisoned in the same maze he designed. In order to escape Daedalus creates wings of wax and feathers. He warns Icarus not to fly too high, Icarus ignores his father, the wax melts and he crashed to his death.
