Aegeus

Some time ago near my home we had a wonderful sunset and I was determined to use it - but not with the houses of the estate on the horizon. I liked the sea I had done in an earlier linocut and was interested in seeing how that might be used. Then add a narrative - hence "Aegeus".In Greek mythology Aegeus drowned himself in the sea (the tiny dots!) when he mistakenly believed his son to be dead. The sea was thereafter called the Aegean.
